Why Aluminium Is Best for Roller Shutters
Aluminium is light enough for a motor to raise and lower smoothly, strong enough to resist forced entry when interlocked, and completely immune to rust. Foam-Filled Aluminium Roller Shutters Benefits
Each slat is filled with CFC-free polyurethane foam during the roll-forming process. The foam adds three things: structural rigidity so the slats interlock firmly when closed, thermal insulation to slow heat transfer through the aluminium, and smooth quiet operation when the shutter rolls up and down. It’s not hollow aluminium with air inside. It’s a solid insulating core wrapped in a metal shell.
